Miss America Regan Hutsell Jets to New York City for Fashion Week and Media Week

[NEW YORK CITY, NY] September 10, 2026 — Just two hours after being crowned the 99th Miss America, Regan Hutsell was on a private jet headed to New York City to begin her year of service with a whirlwind week of national media appearances, New York Fashion Week events and her first official engagements as Miss America.

Hutsell made her national television debut as Miss America on Good Morning America, appearing for an exclusive interview just hours after her crowning at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Following her GMA appearance, Hutsell continued her media tour throughout New York City, sitting down with national outlets including PEOPLE, Inside Edition, Yahoo, Business Insider and Fox News, where she shared her story, passions and vision for the year ahead. Her crowning and first days as Miss America also garnered coverage from Essence, USA Today, Ebony, CBS News, Parade, The Root, The Hollywood Times, The Houston Chronicle, Just Jared and The Daily Beast, among numerous other outlets celebrating her historic win and the start of her reign.

The timing of Miss America’s arrival in New York City also coincided with New York Fashion Week, giving Hutsell the opportunity to step into the fashion world alongside some of the industry’s most recognized designers and brands.

Hutsell kicked off Fashion Week with acclaimed designer Christian Siriano before taking the runway herself to close the Romey Roe fashion show in a custom red evening gown created specifically for her as Miss America.

The striking gown created a fitting fashion moment for Hutsell as she begins her year as Miss America. The custom red design complemented the red and blue stones of her one-of-a-kind Miss America crown, as well as the patriotic colors of her Miss America sash. Hutsell will serve as Miss America during the nation’s Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of American independence, making the symbolism of her crown and sash especially significant throughout her year of service.

From her crowning in Palm Beach to a private flight to New York City just hours later, Hutsell’s first days as Miss America have been defined by a rapid succession of national media appearances, fashion events and opportunities to represent the Miss America Organization on some of the country’s most prominent stages.

As the 99th Miss America begins her year of service, Hutsell is taking the crown beyond the Miss America stage and into media rooms and cultural moments across the country.

And this is only the beginning. Stay tuned for what’s next for Miss America Regan Hutsell.
