[NEW YORK CITY, NY] September 12, 2026 — Miss America Regan Hutsell joined members of the military-connected community at the Intrepid Museum in New York City on September 12 to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and recognize those who have continued to serve in the years since.
Hutsell attended One Flag Forward, a five-day, 250-mile journey organized by wear blue: run to remember and Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), carrying a single American flag from Ground Zero in New York City to Washington, D.C. The journey commemorates the 25th anniversary of September 11 and the 250th anniversary of the United States.
At the Intrepid Museum, Hutsell joined participants as they began the journey, standing alongside members of the military-connected community as they carried the American flag in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and in recognition of those who continue to serve.
The mission’s message of unity and service holds particular significance as Hutsell begins her year as the 99th Miss America during the nation’s Semiquincentennial, marking 250 years of American independence.
As One Flag Forward continues its journey to Washington, D.C., Hutsell honored the enduring spirit of remembrance, service and unity that continues to bring Americans together 25 years after September 11.
