[NEW YORK, NY] September 29, 2026 — Miss America Regan Hutsell brought a little razzle dazzle to Broadway, going backstage at the Ambassador Theatre for Chicago, Broadway’s current longest-running musical, to cheer on fellow Miss America Organization sister Reece Weaver, star of Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and former Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen. Reece is currently starring as the iconic Roxie Hart through November 1.
A professional dancer herself and former Radio City Rockette, Regan has spent her career performing on stages around the world, making the evening a special celebration as she had the special opportunity to meet Reece backstage and also reunite with members of the Chicago cast she had previously performed alongside.
Before joining the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and making her Broadway debut, Reece represented Florida as Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen in 2017, bringing her journey through the Miss America Organization full circle on the Broadway stage.
From the Miss America stage to the Broadway stage, it was a night of dancing, sisterhood and a Rockette x DCC kickline for the ages, with Miss America backstage on Broadway and loving every minute.
