ORLANDO, FL, January 11, 2023 — Miss America, the iconic 100+ year brand, and Global Game Changers announced the formalization of the Miss America x Global Game Changers partnership at the MAGIC EXPO event held during the competition week at the Universal Loews Hotel and Convention Center.  Ambassador, spokesperson and Miss America 2000 Heather French Henry, and CEO of Miss America Robin Fleming were both on hand to formalize the agreement that had been in the works for over six months prior.

“Empowering women in America means making education a priority – we are excited to announce a scholarship partnership with Global Game Changers in highlighting women in education at the forefront, showcasing our delegates who dedicate their lives to making a difference in the lives of young American’s through educational efforts,” believes Miss America CEO Robin Fleming.

The plan moving forward is to mobilize local and state brand ambassadors  in the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen programs  to access and use a booklet full of fun activities for each month, themed around the Global Game Changers 12 Heart Badges: Animals, Arts, Basic Needs, Bullying, Education, Elderly, Environment, Health, Human Rights, Rescue, Veterans, and General. This booklet, available on GGC’s online Educator Portal, will enhance the regular school visits that titleholders already make as part of their year of service.

In addition plans are to launch Global Game ChangersŸ scholarship for Miss America candidates who wish to enter or have already entered the field of elementary education. This scholarship is available to women aged 19 or older who have competed at the local, state, or national level(s) of the Miss America Organization over the past year, regardless of whether a title was won.   For more information on the partnership, the scholarship opportunity,  and the Global Game Changers initiatives, visit the official Global Game Changers website.
