“I’m incredibly honored to be named the Top Miss Fundraiser for the American Heart Association,” said Sarah Kay Wrenn. “This recognition is deeply personal, as my passion for heart health began after losing a family friend to sudden cardiac arrest at just 25 years old. His story became the driving force behind my community service initiative, Heart Strong: The Difference Starts Right Now. Through this initiative, I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of students across South Carolina to teach hands-only CPR, raise awareness about heart disease prevention, and help schools join the Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. To know that those efforts are helping build a generation of lifesavers—while also advancing the Miss America mission—is incredibly rewarding.”
“When I first set a goal to become the Top Teen Fundraiser in North Carolina, I wanted to do more than just reach a number—I wanted to make an impact,” said Delilah Claire Hadyk. “Through my push-up and crunch challenges, and community fundraisers like Krispy Kreme Tidal Wave and Little Caesars, I learned that determination is contagious. As I pushed forward, I watched others feel inspired to do the same, and together we made a real difference. I was especially inspired after meeting Charley Grace, a Congenital Heart Disease survivor, at the Triad Go Red for Women Fundraiser. Knowing that the money I raised helps support lifesaving research for people like her reminds me that every dollar and every act of effort has a heartbeat behind it.”
