Tourism in The Palm Beaches is soaring to new heights — and now, one of America’s most iconic institutions is coming along for the ride. During its annual Travel Rally Day celebration, Discover The Palm Beaches announced a milestone moment for the destination: the Miss America Organization has officially selected The Palm Beaches as its new home for the next three years.
The headline-making announcement capped off a high-energy event celebrating the strength of Palm Beach County’s booming tourism industry, which welcomed more than 3.3 million visitors during the first quarter of 2026 — the highest first-quarter visitation in the destination’s history.
Discover The Palm Beaches President and CEO Milton Segarra says the record-breaking tourism numbers prove the destination’s continued momentum. “Tourism is a cornerstone of our local economy and quality of life and place.”
New for 2026, the legendary Miss America Competition will take center stage across several of Palm Beach County’s premier venues, including the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the Kravis Center and Hilton West Palm Beach. The crowning of the 99th Miss America will be on September 6.
“The Palm Beaches represent vision, momentum and possibility, and we are incredibly proud to call the destination the new home of Miss America,” says Miss America CEO Robin Fleming. “It’s a place where women’s voices, ambition and achievement can truly take center stage.”
Travel Rally Day also honored standout tourism leaders, including Visit Palm Beach, recipient of the prestigious Providencia Award, alongside award winners The Belgrove, Alpha Transportation Services and Four Seasons Palm Beach.
