Katie Stam
Seymour, Indiana

Katie Stam was crowned the first Miss America from the state of Indiana in the pageant's 88-year history. During her year of service, Katie worked extensively with Children's Miracle Network as the National Goodwill Ambassador, visiting dozens of children's hospitals across the country, raising millions of dollars and promoting the organization during numerous speaking engagements.

Katie also served as a spokesperson for her personal platform of Promoting Community Service and Involvement, embarking on a national tour working with non-profit organizations and spreading her message of volunteerism to thousands of students. She was also the first Miss America in over 30 years to travel to Germany to visit our Armed Forces and dedicated her year of service to honoring our servicemen and women in uniform.

A soon-to-be graduate of the University of Indianapolis with a degree in Communication, Katie is looking forward to pursuing a career in television broadcasting. Katie continues to promote her personal platform of community service and involvement working with various organizations across the US. She will soon release her first children's book and plans to marry her sweetheart, Brian of four years in the near future!
